TRISTAN UND ISOLDE AT LA SCALA, BEETHOVEN AND SCHÖNBERG WITH FILARMONICA DELLA SCALA

On Thursday, February 5th, Patrice Chéreau’s acclaimed production of Tristan und Isolde reopens at Milan’s La Scala with Waltraud Meier and Ian Storey/Robert Gambill under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. Further performances will take place on February 8,12,17,21,and 25.

In between performances of Tristan und Isolde, Barenboim will lead the Filarmonica della Scala through a Beethoven and Schönberg cycle, performing all the Beethoven piano concerti and the major Schönberg orchestral works. In addition to the concerts, tickets are also being sold for an open dress rehearsal on February 22nd at 11:00 AM. The proceeds of the rehearsal tickets will benefit Amnesty International.
