Simon Boccanegra in Milan
This week, Barenboim is rehearsing with the cast of Simon Boccanegra (which includes Placido Domingo) at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan for its opening there on April 16th. The Federico Tiezzi staging is a co-production with the German State Opera, where it premiered in October 2009 with the same cast. Performances will continue throughout April and the beginning of May.
