Mozart and Joneleit: Staatskapelle Subscription Concerts
The Staatskapelle Berlin opened its opera season with a premiere by Berlin composer Jens Joneleit, and on its second subscription concert program, it will perform a further world premiere by the same composer, commissioned and conducted by Daniel Barenboim. The musical "bookends" of the concert are comprised by two Mozart Piano Concertos, played and conducted by Barenboim, the D-Major Coronation Concerto KV 537, and the C-minor Concerto KV 491. The first concert takes place on October 25th in the Berlin Philharmonie and on October 26th in the Berlin Konzerthaus.
