Deutscher Kulturpreis/ German Cultural Award
Daniel Barenboim was chosen to receive the German Cultural Award in 2009, and it will be ceremoniously presented to him on February 19th in Munich under the auspices of Chancellor Merkel. The Stiftung Kulturförderung, the organization that grants the award, was founded in 1985. The prize is given on an annual or biannual basis.
