Barenboim plays both Liszt piano concertos with the Concertgebouw Orchestra and on tour with the Staatskapelle Berlin

For his upcoming performances with Amsterdam's Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Berlin, Daniel Barenboim takes on the extraordinary challenge of playing both of Franz Liszt's virtuosic piano concertos on the same program.  The first concert takes place on May 27 at the home of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the orchestra's Principal Conductor Mariss Jansons at the podium.  Barenboim then embarks on a five-city tour with the Staatskapelle Berlin and the legendary French conductor Pierre Boulez, performing the two Liszt concertos at Vienna's iconic Musikverein on June 5, Berlin's Philharmonie on June 6 and 7, the Philharmonie in Essen on June 9 and 10, the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden on June 11, and London's Royal Festival Hall on June 13.
