Barenboim Cycle at the Staatsoper: Orchestral Academy

Next Sunday, November 1st, Daniel Barenboim continues his cycle of matinee concerts at the Staatsoper Berlin with a project close to his heart: the orchestral academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin. The education of young musicians and the continuation of a rich and unique orchestral tradition are combined in the Staatskapelle's orchestral academy. Students enrolled in the two-year program receive lessons from experienced members of the orchestra and play side by side with their older colleagues in opera performances and symphonic concerts. This Sunday, they have the opportunity to demonstrate their own artistry in a chamber orchestra program that includes Mozart, Dallapiccola, and Verdi. For complete program information please visit the website of the Staatsoper Berlin or see the performances page of this website.
