Daniel Barenboim is the piano soloist for the Vienna Philharmonic's upcoming tour of Europe. Following two performances of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with Zubin Mehta at the orchestra's home, Vienna's venerable Musikverein, on June 18 and 19, the orchestra, conductor and soloist take the program to Monaco for a June 20 performance at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo and then to the Roman Theater in Aspendos, Turkey for a concert on June 21. In addition to the Beethoven concerto, the program for these concerts include Stravinsky’s Symphony in Three Movements and Richard Strauss’s Don Quixote.
